How the fee is worked out
We price the work, not the hours. Four questions set a starting figure; the real number is fixed in writing after a first chat, and it does not move unless the scope does.
No hourly billing, no timesheet rounding, no invoice you did not expect.
Bank reconciliation, supplier coding and a closed set of accounts each month.
Indicative annual fee, from
A fixed fee is quoted upfront after a first chat. No hourly billing surprises, and if the records turn out to be a bigger job than described we re-quote before starting.
Indicative figures for this demonstration only.
How we work
Most people arrive here because their last accountant went quiet in June. The four lines opposite are the whole promise.
A fixed fee, quoted before we start
You get a written fee for the work described, not an hourly rate that lands as a surprise in July. If the scope changes because the records are messier than expected, we say so and re-quote before doing the work.
0surprise invoices since 2014No jargon, ever
Division 7A, instant asset write-off, PSI — we will explain what these mean for your business in ordinary words, and we will not send you a letter that requires a second accountant to interpret.

A note from us
We started the practice in 2014 because the businesses we liked working with — the café on the corner, the sparky with three vans, the studio with two directors and a bookkeeper on Fridays — were being handled last and explained to least. Between us we handle every file here. If something has gone sideways with the ATO, one of us picks up the phone.
Alice looks after company and trust work, reviews and payment plans. Tom, who ran a kitchen for six years before this, runs bookkeeping, payroll and most of the quarterly BAS. You will know which of us has your file from the first meeting, and it will not change.
